Ann Curry

Ann Curry is a photojournalist as well as a journalist, author and has reported on conflict zones over the last forty-five years. Her focus is on human suffering as well as disasters. Her final graduation was from Ashland high school. In Medford where she began her broadcasting career with KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. At the age 22, she was able to become the first reporter to be female at KTVL. She then moved up to anchoring and reporting for KGW, an NBC-affiliated station in Portland. In Los Angeles, she became an anchor and reporter for KCBS TV just four years after moving into the city. Two Emmy Awards were won during the six years she worked for TV station KCBS.
